I have totally blank consoles (tty 1-6). My boot screen works OK. I do need the consoles in cases of rare crashes. I have tried all the possible solutions here with no success.
I have tried editing in /etc/modules and /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-framebuffer the modules fbcon and all of vesafb nvidiafb vga16fb by themselves and sometimes with each other. None have ever produced anything other than a blank tty screen.
