Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17

In Edgy Beta 1

The panasonic acpi driver does not work / is not present in edgy beta 1.
This means I cannot adjust display brightness or any other function keys
(volume, etc)

This is a REGRESSION from dapper where hotkeys worked fine

The driver can be found at http://www.da-cha.org/letsnote/

And the related bugs (for background reading) from dapper are:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/16424
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/48325

Calling "/etc/acpi/panabright.sh up" manually fails as
/proc/acpi/pcc does not exist

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
