Hi Guys, I looks like there are some patches in the upstream mainline kernel that may help resolve this bug. They appear to have gone in upstream after the 2.6.24 release which explains why they didn't make it into the Hardy kernel by default. I'm adding the upstream git commit id's for the kernel team to reference. Thanks.
