I think this is very likely to be fixed now. The screensaver is poked
every 30 seconds from a timeout in the GTK main loop; indeed this was
also the case when James filed this bug. However, in Dapper, the way
Ubiquity interacted with gparted involved blocking reads from a file
descriptor, not via the GTK main loop. This would mean that if gparted
took too long to format partitions then the screensaver could kick in.

With the new partitioner, this is no longer the case, and this bug
should have gone away.
