Terry

I think I tried at least twice and it failed in exactly the same way.
To be honest I just got a later iso image (7.x) and used that - it
installed first time and I had no trouble. Can't you just close the bug
and tell people to use the latest version?

Not much help, sorry.

Cheers
Si

Subject: [Bug 117605] Re: installer crashes when installing packages

Thanks
for
your
detailed
submission.
This
is
a
old
submission
(almost
9
months
now!).
Did
the
Live
CD
pass
the
CD
check?
>From
your
logs,
it
looks
like
a
hard
crash
perhaps
due
to
an
error
in
reading
the
CD
correctly.
If
the
disk
passes
the
CD
check
and
the
install
fails
at
the
same
location
twice
in
a
row,
we
can
move
this
to
Confirmed.
