Terry I think I tried at least twice and it failed in exactly the same way. To be honest I just got a later iso image (7.x) and used that - it installed first time and I had no trouble. Can't you just close the bug and tell people to use the latest version?

This is a old submission (almost 9 months now!). Did the Live CD pass the CD check? >From your logs, it looks like a hard crash perhaps due to an error in reading the CD correctly. If the disk passes the CD check and the install fails at the same location twice in a row, we can move this to Confirmed. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- installer crashes when installing packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117605 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
