Okay I don't know if it's necessarily related but it just crashed again, though in a different spot (which it doesn't identify) but the last call it does is gdk_gc_new_with_values (). I haven't uploaded this new crash report via apport but will save it in case it needs to be. I'm attaching the backtrace from this crash.
