Okey, it is solved - partially. I have tested on a TV set which had both S-Video and Composite input connectors. With S-Video and intel driver the image is colour in TV_FORMAT PAL and PAL-N. With Composite, the image remains B&W.
I am not sure if I understand the background correct, however, is there a way how to tell the intel (or late i810) driver to use a composite signal with PAL standard?
