@Wouter: I should be more explicit in my reply: by "fixed" I mean I don't have my ~/.bash_history polluted by mc anymore in Gutsy by deafult. That's propably thanks to the following lines in default Gutsy's /etc/skel/.bashrc (thus my ~/.bashrc too):

# don't put duplicate lines in the history. See bash(1) for more options export HISTCONTROL=ignoredups # ... and ignore same sucessive entries. export HISTCONTROL=ignoreboth
If it's just a workaround, and the issue could/should be solved in mc itself, not needing HISTCONTROL tweaks, I don't know. I'd let developers decide. -- mc: each action pollutes .bash_history https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/53095 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
