I can confirm that the problem is still there.
I use Kubuntu Gutsy. Everything is upgraded.

I have attached screen dump.


Steps to reproduce:
1: Set background image on desktop 1 to a dark image.
2: Set background image on desktop 2 to a light image.
3: Set Kicker to be transparent.
4: Go to desktop 1 and start aMule.
5: Go to desktop 2.
6: Observe that the background around the aMule icon is not transparent. (it 
uses the background image from Desktop 1)
