Could you please check this against Hardy Alpha-4 to see if it is still
occuring? We're using EXA and a newer intel driver on Hardy, which may
resolve it.
If it does not, can you also try activating the "greedy" migration
option (this solved several issues on 965GM hardware and might be needed
for 945 too). For example:
Section "Device"
....
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"
Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"
....
