Thanks for your bugreport. You can get rid of this error by reinstalling the deb package that you used or by removing it (via dpkg --remove --force-reinst-required lexmark-z700-cups-driver). update-manager has a feature to do this automatically (if the users agrees) in the current bzr tree.
