This is my second posting. After adding and removing Gstremer and Xine packages I finally managed to get audio from Totem using Gstreamer but still no video. I been at it for days still no success. Is there a Linux Codec(plug-in) for purchase ? The video that came with the O.S. plays fine, but using DVD player and movie DVD is the problem. My computer is a 7 years old desktop, self assembled with ATI rage 128 meg memory, and 384 meg system memory .FIC motherbord with Awards bios(bios date is 2000). If Cononical wants this O.S. to enter corporate and consumer market they must quickly solve this kind of problems in order to be taken seriously. As of today this O.S. is not ready for any kind of market and this is very strange after many years of development.Why they released Totem when they know it doesn't work? strange! I tought I discovered something fantastic. Mr.Sutterland needs new technical and corporate strategies if he wants to compete with Microsoft.
