Hello,

I just reinstalled a clean gutsy kubuntu so I can't do any test anymore.

But I did change something in the xorg.conf when it worked :

I was using a videoprojector, so I added a Monitor section for it (with refresh
rates named "Projector") in addition to the one that was here before (a simple
one without refresh rates named "LVDSMonitor").
And in the Device section, I added two lines (that exploits, if I am right, the
new xrandr extension):

Option "Monitor-LVDS" "LVDSMonitor"
Option "Monitor-VGA" "Projector"

And I think that can be the reason why it worked, not sure :)
