>From what I've seen on another (GNOME) bug, some of the info entered in the LP bug was also forwarded to gnome bugzilla by the developer. But I don't think this always happens though.
For those of you here who are really interested in getting the bug fixed, I strongly recommend you should report it yourself upstream. You might look at this link for more info on that: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/GitKernelBuild. From what I've seen, the kernel developers are generally much more responsive about bug reports than the ubuntu developers. But you have to test with the upstream kernel versions for that, and follow their guidelines for reporting bugs. This might be helpful: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/lkml/reporting-bugs.html. You also have to enable some debugging in the compilation, I think there is an USB_DEBUG option or similar. Probably this bug exists in many flavors, one is where USB_SUSPEND is the cause, but there are many others. Some of you have reported that it worked with a certain kernel version, but then stopped working. If you can find out precisely at what upstream -git version it broke, you have probably come a long way towards fixing the bug. But it is a lot of work in testing out that of course, and trying many different versions until you nail down the correct one.
