Crashed for me when I exited Synaptic Package Manager. I downloaded
debug symbols, but don't know how to get the core dump extracted from
the crash file to do a backtrace. I just finished a 7.10 upgrade to 8.04
and got this crash within the first few minutes so don't know if it will
repro, but since I was directed to launchpad thought I'd add my 2 cents.

I've downloaded the debug symbol package so I could probably get a
backtrace if someone can tell me how to extract the core dump (assuming
that would help). Thanks.
