you should not describe several issues in the same bug to start. The bug
you described was about directories having a wrong icons is a theme bugs
and not a nautilus one, those don't use the current icon specification
naming. There is a launcher issues too when those specify the fileformat
to use, this one is a different bug and has been fixed to SVN since
