This is caused by one or more files in ~/.sane having their owner set to root, due to xsane having been run as root at some point in the past. Fixing the permissions or clearing out the files removes the error messages (I just removed the entire directory, then reran xsane to create a new one).
Not really a bug per se, but a poster child for lousy error messages. -- xsane: "Failed to create file: Permission denied" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96011 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
