Public bug reported: Ubuntu Hardy Hedron Alpha 4 Server on amd64.
Booted up the install CD on a system with pre-existing LVM volumes. I was unable to mount the pre-existing filesystem due to no devicefiles for LVM volumes were created. I did pvscan, vgscan and lvscan and it worked fine, all volumes were displayed. The volume group did however not get a directory created under /dev Neither was /dev/mapper/ populated with files (i.e. "volumegroupname-logicalvolumename") that could provide access to the LVM volumes. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- LVM: No devicefiles created (udev issue?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191858 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
