I have exactly the same problem. In my case, firefox crashed when it was executed on vnc4server with a resolution of 2560x1600, 16bit color depth. Firefox segfaulted on a smaller resolution (1024x768), too.
As a sidenote, ~/.vnc/xstartup was: unset SESSION_MANAGER . /etc/X11/Xsession which launched the default gnome desktop. ** Attachment added: "The strace log : "strace -f -eopen firefox &> /tmp/firefox.strace.log"" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11884931/D%3A%5Ccygwin%5Chome%5CJunhee%20Yoo%5Cfirefox.strace.log -- Firefox crash at startup in gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
