While I'm a fan of non-native packages, I'm not sure that such a small diff.gz is truly ideal. Might be better to pull at least all of debian/ outside. This is especially the case when at least two of the patches included in the diff.gz appear to belong upstream (README, mic_cfg.py).
I'd like to hear from another member of ~ubuntu-mobile to confirm this technique of splitting the package. I'm especially worried because of removed entries from the changelog. This is typically only done when a package is synchronised to an external repository: for a merge (resulting in Ubuntu versioning), keeping the outstanding changelog entries is preferred. With regards to the specific packaging, the Maintainer is changed from Ubuntu Mobile Developers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to John L. Villalovos <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Given the Ubuntu-specific modifications, the package ought have an Ubuntu maintainer, for which the group is quite suitable. Further, as this group is listed as the maintainer, it would make more sense to seek sponsorship from within that group, or have a comment from another member of the team indicating that it is appropriate for MOTU to override and push the package. ** Changed in: moblin-image-creator (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Incomplete -- Update moblin-image-creator to 0.39 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188130 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
