Lieven: did you tried to set a higher resolution with xrandr ? displayconfig-gtk is only a graphical front end for xrandr. This bug belongs to the GUI application itself. If it is not possible to set higher resolutions with xrandr, you should file a bug report against xrandr or the driver of your graphic chip.
