Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ufw
I'm using packages from gutsy except ufw from hardy. I tried this: :~$ sudo ufw enable ERROR: uid is 0 but '/' is owned by 1000 :~$ So I can't really do anything with ufw. The same thing happens with (at least) these parameters: disable, default allow and status. Addional info: :~$ ls -la /. total 108 drwxr-xr-x 23 kimmo kimmo 4096 2008-01-27 14:49 . drwxr-xr-x 23 kimmo kimmo 4096 2008-01-27 14:49 .. drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2008-01-03 16:11 bin --- cut --- Should I do something like this? sudo chown root:root / ** Affects: ufw (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ERROR: uid is 0 but '/' is owned by 1000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
