I know there's trouble with upstream site every now and then, however I would expect to see sdlmame0123.zip as the file name to be retrieved. Looks like the $(VER) has the old value. I'm also puzzled with the warning messages.
It's likely I've done something wrong with the .diff file, I'll check it ASAP.
