I'm using Ubunt 7.10, Intel dual CPU E4600 2.4Gz, with a Gigabyte M/B
GA-945GCM-S2L (with integrated graphic controller), and a 22" ViewSonic
LCD monitor.

I'm using the normal out of the box Ubuntu (not KDE). Sometimes the
screen decides to shrink and leave a 2" wide black space on the left
side. Sometimes I manage to make an "Auto image adjust" via the
monitor's menu; (sometimes I have to access 'System-->Administration -->
Screens and graphics and play with the settings and press OK for the
monitor's menu to do the trick, but sometimes I have to re-start the
computer for the screen to re-adjust. Nevertheless, nothing hangs and I
can use the computer normally, only with a horizontally smaller screen.
