I'm not sure what Daniel meant and i'm not sure which package actually has the driver for hda-intel. Is that provided by alsa-source because I was under the impression that was just for building it yourself but I was able to get it working finally but just compiling the new 1.0.16 drivers from alsa-drivers source from alsa itself. The newest of alsa- source that shows up for me is rc2 from the hardy repo. So which package in the hardy repo is supposed to have the fix exactly?
