Fixed using the purge outlined in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/189870 (don't forget to add "sudo" before each command). But surely the purge (or a similar fix) should be in the auto-update, otherwise it will screw a lot of people over who don't know how to sort out such things?
