Add software via Synaptic (or apt-get/aptitude) will take care of all dependencies for you.
Installing individual packages (from getdeb for example) with dependencies can be a pain. But, when you double click on the .deb it should tell you what packages to install to meet the dependencies. For example the red text "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: some- package". In that case you would need to install "some-package". Is your situation different and causing you to find and install the dependencies manually? -- Dont report unneccesary dependencies.... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/186552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
