Public bug reported:

I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Pi-2515 notebook with the latest hardy updates
and the system tooks about a minute longer to boot compared to a gutsy
system on the same mashine. If I boot without the "splash" option the
boot hangs for about a minute. It hangs right after fsck finishes
checking the root filesystem.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
