Hi, I found this page by googling for the following error message in my syslog:

I am using Gutsy, but upgraded the kernel (and related modules packages) to 2.6.24-5-generic to hardy as recommended above, but the bug still persists. This was not an issue with Feisty, is there an older kernel version that would work around this issue? The laptop is an Asus Z35F. I attached the required logfiles. ** Attachment added: "lspci-vvnn.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11745602/lspci-vvnn.log -- ata1: port is slow to respond, please be patient https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182556 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
