In the initial installation process:
1. Choose Manual partitioner option.
2. In the next dialog box, delete all the existing partitions on the device
/dev/sda
3. Now highlight the "free space" option and choose "New Partition" button.
4. This will bring up the "Create Partition" dialog.
In this dialog, the drop down list for the "Mount point:" option is empty.
This should have the usual suspects like "/", "/boot", "/media" etc.
Observed on 8.04 alpha (Feb 03, 08)
