I can confirm this: Ubuntu 7.10 (2.6.22-14-generic) and Firefox 2.0.0.11. Enter that second address in yahoo maps, hit 'GO' and Firefox goes away. There is no crash report in /var/crash, but Firefox recognizes it as an ungraceful exit because it asks to restore when next launched.
additional info: 1) Yahoo Maps recently changed their web page. I can't say for sure, but I think that's when this problem started happening. The new page has additional functionality, apparently implemented in Flash, which causes significant extra network accesses. (They also have a HUGE, superannoying Flash advert that sucks down processing power like a fratboy at a kegger.) 2) Firefox under Windows XP DOES NOT exhibit the same problem. (But, the new page does exhibit a lot of latency or processing issues -- very herky-jerky.) -- firefox crashes when entering address in yahoo maps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
