I already have vmware-server installed via apt-get. I had some trouble with a particular image (created with a config that has more features) and thought the vmware player might be more up to date. Had some trouble installing vmware-player (hence I am here). Installing via cshieli's repository requires removing vmware-server. Is there *any* advantage?
