nvidia-glx is a suggested package in l-r-m's dependencies. They could (should?) depend on their identical version kernel-module package, as far as I understand it. As I said, this would indeed be something challenging (to stay polite :-) ) for the maintainer(s). However, the ugly restricted-manager hack I posted somewhile ago, combined with the information in the 2 outside threads mentioned allows me to have compiz running days on end without any hardlock on the laptop. Should this information be combined and posted somewhere on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ ? -- Random NVidia Proprietary Driver Lock-Ups with dual core + 7300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145112 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
