I downloaded and installed the Beta release of Edgy today. The installer lists the Atheros as both ath0 and wifi0. I chose ath0. No restricted modules were installed. I had to install them after the install was complete. modprobe ath_pci installed the modules. This is using 2.6.17-10-generic. Shouldn't these modules be installed when the Atheros card is found?
sudo dhclient ath0 fails to connec with the same output which I previously reported. Is 2.6.17 using the new madwifi while 2.6.15 is using the old madwifi?
