I'm using Catalyst 8.01 with Ubuntu 7.10 and a Mobility Radeon X1400. Suspend/resume works when the fglrx module is loaded (previously it didn't).
Switching to an FGLRX VT, whether it's the only X session or not, locks my machine up hard. I can't even change to a text VT and shut down that way.
