Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Dim monitor on battery doesn't work on Apple MacBook. There's a fix available here: http://desrt.mcmaster.ca/macbook.xhtml Install packages "macbook-backlight" and "macbook-backlight-hal": The primary result of installing this package is that gnome-power- manager will be able to control your backlight (for example, allowing you to change the brightness through the UI and dimming when you go off of AC power, etc). ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- MacBook doesn't dim monitor on battery https://launchpad.net/bugs/63025 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
