Affects me too on a second SKU/BIOS, with details that may help narrow
this down.

Hardware / software
- Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14, product 21V70071IX, BIOS N4OET47W (1.10)
03/30/2026
- Intel Core Ultra 7 355 (Panther Lake), IPU7 PCI 8086:b05d, Secure Boot enabled
- Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-42-generic, libcamera 0.7.0 (0.7.0-1ubuntu2)
- intel-ipu7-dkms is NOT installed: I'm on the in-kernel (staging) intel_ipu7 /
intel_ipu7_isys

Symptoms (same as the original report)
- IPU7 firmware loads; kernel log: "intel-ipu7 0000:00:05.0: Found supported
sensor TBE20A0:00" and "Connected 1 cameras"
- /dev/video0../dev/video31 and /dev/media0 exist; GNOME Snapshot (Aperture
0.12) lists ~30 raw "ipu7 (V4L2)" nodes and no usable camera
- `cam -l`: "SimplePipeline simple.cpp:1899 No sensor found for /dev/media0" ->
"Available cameras:" (empty)
- `media-ctl -d /dev/media0 -p` shows only "Intel IPU7 ISYS Capture N"
entities, no sensor subdev

Additional findings
- Two sensor devices are present on the I2C bus, i2c-TBE20A0:00 and
i2c-TBE20A1:00 (ACPI \_SB.LNK0 / \_SB.LNK1, status 15). Neither has a driver
bound. I did not see TBE20A1 mentioned in the bug so far.
- No in-kernel module claims these IDs: only ipu-bridge references "TBE20A".
- I downloaded (without installing) the archive packages and checked:
  * intel-ipu7-dkms 0~git202602091007: ships the IPU7 core and ov02c10, but
nothing for TBE20A0/IMX471
  * linux-modules-7.0.0-1017-oem: identical set of 733 drivers/media modules to
7.0.0-42-generic; no imx471
- This matches comment #3 (TBE20A0 = Sony IMX471, no imx471 driver in any
packaged module). As I understand it, the upstream imx471 driver and the
ipu-bridge entry for the X1 Carbon Gen 14 land in mainline 7.3.

Question: is a backport of the IMX471 driver and the ipu-bridge/int3472
changes planned for the 7.0 kernel (generic and/or OEM) in 26.04? Happy
to test any kernel or PPA build and attach logs if needed.
