#### SRU validation of snapd 2.78+ubuntu26.10 from stonking-proposed

I reproduced the issue with snapd 2.77.1 and demonstrated that it is
resolved with snapd 2.78 using this script:

The script configures a lxd VM with the desired snapd version, then
installs the slack snap with revision 254 and runs it, collecting
various logs while the user manually checks whether the appindicator
icon appears.
## Reproducing issue with 2.77.1+ubuntu26.10.1
