Public bug reported: Ubuntu 22.04.5, pulseaudio 1:15.99.1+dfsg1-1ubuntu2.2. A strict snap (jsbudbrainequalizer 1.0.3, rev 6) needs to load module-null-sink to route system audio. pa_context_load_module() returns PA_ERR_ACCESS:
ERROR Virtual sink cannot be loaded: Access denied snap connections shows audio-playback connected and audio-record disconnected. module-snap-policy connects deny_to_snaps_hook to PA_ACCESS_HOOK_LOAD_MODULE and returns PA_HOOK_STOP for any client with a snap.* AppArmor label. The same binary works unconfined; the publisher’s native .deb works. Impact: confined audio-routing apps cannot create virtual sinks. Request: a supported interface/portal for virtual sinks, or documentation that such apps must ship natively.
