Public bug reported:
Ubuntu release: 26.04 LTS (Resolute)
Architecture: AMD64
Environment: Proxmox VE VM (QEMU)
ISO: resolute-desktop-amd64.iso
Installer: ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap (snap revision 665, from logs)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Complete a first Ubuntu installation successfully.
2. Boot again from the Resolute desktop ISO.
3. Select "Try Ubuntu" and open the installer from the live session.
4. Choose "Install Ubuntu alongside [existing Ubuntu system]".
5. Proceed with the installation.

Actual result:
Installation fails during partitioning with CurtinInstallError.
The original Ubuntu installation remains functional.
