Related: bug #1871540 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1871540), which asks for the server IP in apt-get output.
This report is a case where it would help. mirror.yandex.ru returned the older InRelease once in 8 requests and the current one 7 times. If the hostname is served by several backends, apt gives no way to tell whether the older Release came from one of them. Per the discussion in 1871540 the "Connected to" status line (methods/connect.cc in 3.2.0) is not part of the logged output. A log line with the address that served each Release file would show it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2172092 Title: apt update: bogus "Missing Signed-By" notice, and no message, when the mirror serves an older Release than the local one To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/2172092/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
