Also confirming that it's happening for me on kernel 6.8.0, after
patching yesterday.
Should we log a new bug report for 6.8.0 since this report is for 6.14?
Details:
Linux boxname 6.8.0-147-generic #147-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Sep

Description: Ubuntu 24.04.5 LTS
Release: 24.04
Codename: noble
From 'apt upgrade' output:

#
Lines 146 to 148 of /usr/lib/apparmor/rc.apparmor.functions are:
unconfined_userns=$([ -f
/sys/kernel/security/apparmor/features/policy/unconfined_restrictions/userns ]
&& cat
/sys/kernel/security/apparmor/features/policy/unconfined_restrictions/userns ||
echo 0)
if [ -n "$userns_restricted" ] && [ "$userns_restricted" -eq 1 ]; then
if [ "$unconfined_userns" -eq 0 ]; then
This is the file from line 146:
# cat
/sys/kernel/security/apparmor/features/policy/unconfined_restrictions/userns
yes
#
So the problem is still that the userns file contains "yes" while the 'if'
statement expects 1/0.
