I sent a revert of the backport to the kernel-team list for resolute: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kernel-team/2026-October/173164.html
The cover letter has the SRU justification. On an 8 vCPU guest with master-next (7.0.0-43.43), the sys_enter_openat tracepoint saw 9-13% of the calls without the revert, and all of them on every CPU with it. I can copy the SRU template into the bug description if that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170225 Title: linux 7.0.0-38: BPF programs on syscalls:sys_enter_* tracepoints with user-pointer args only run on one CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2170225/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
