Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu 26.10, opening an image from a phone connected over USB (MTP,
File transfer mode) in Image Viewer fails with “Failed to load
file/stream: Operation not supported”. This worked on Ubuntu 26.04.1.
journalctl --user -b shows repeated denials, for example:
apparmor="DENIED" operation="dbus_method_call"
path="/org/gtk/vfs/mounttracker" interface="org.gtk.vfs.MountTracker"
member="ListMountableInfo" label="loupe", plus denials for
org.gtk.vfs.Daemon and org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor. Loupe logs
Failed to obtain information for sorting 'mtp://...': Operation not
supported.
Expected: Loupe can open files from GVfs locations (MTP, SMB and similar), as
it did before.
