Confirmed: the bug was introduced in upstream v5.1.0 (the refactor), so only releases shipping virt-manager ≥ 5.1.0 are affected. That's resolute (26.04), stonking (26.10), and tenacious/devel (27.04) — jammy (4.0.0) and noble (4.1.0) predate the bug and don't need this patch.
