As confirmed above, the mic has the same root cause as bug 2164574 (GPIO 11). The upstream fix is commit 6da1f3437435 (andy/linux-gpio-intel), see bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- hwe-7.0/+bug/2164574 for the links. No ALC245 fixup is needed.
One more tip: once the mic works, keep the input volume at about 30-40%. At 100%, PipeWire adds about +60 dB of gain (Capture +30 dB plus Internal Mic Boost +30 dB), so the mic overloads and you only hear loud noise. Also check that the source is not muted. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164573 Title: ALC245 internal digital microphones return only zeros on Acer Nitro ANV16S-41 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-7.0/+bug/2164573/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
