I should state that I apt update, apt upgrade daily, so things are getting changed.
No wifi @5ghz available. Wifi off & ethernet plugged in gave me almost an hour of stutter free audio video viewing, and then the whole box locked up, cursor frozen, clock stopped, absolutely nothing alive. Had to hit the reset button on the box. To show how stable the system was, here's the last snippet of journalctl output while the video was playing down to when the box froze: Oct 16 06:40:01 bill CRON[23065]: pam_unix(cron:session): session closed for user smmsp Oct 16 06:50:00 bill systemd[1]: Starting sysstat-collect.service - system activity accounting tool... This never happened on 24.04LTS. All of this is new to 26.04 Playing a video on VLC is perfect; no sound abnormalities. I'm scheduled to nuke this box this afternoon so if you want any reports or other test, please let me know. I need to reinstall 26.04 from scratch on LUKS . -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170107 Title: Chasing down sound dropouts in YouTube videos To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wireplumber/+bug/2170107/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
