Thanks — that used to be true, but not on current releases. On this system (Xubuntu 26.04, elementary-xfce-icon-theme 0.22-1 as the default theme):
- Xubuntu does not use Yaru, and yaru-theme-icon is not installed (it's a GNOME-flavor package): "apt-cache policy yaru-theme-icon" → Installed: (none) - Even current Yaru no longer ships it: the 26.04 yaru-theme-icon file list contains gtk-dialog-warning, dialog-warning, messagebox_warning and stock_dialog-warning, but no "*-panel" variant (https://packages.ubuntu.com/resolute/all/yaru-theme-icon/filelist) - On this machine, across every installed theme: $ find /usr/share/icons -name "*warning-panel*" → (no output) So on 26.04 the attention-state name resolves to nothing on either flavor. A fix from either side closes it: update-notifier using a name that's actually shipped (gtk-dialog-warning / software-update-urgent are present in elementary-xfce), or a theme shipping the legacy alias again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170418 Title: update-notifier's attention-state tray icon "gtk-dialog-warning-panel" exists in no installed theme → empty slot (hole) in XFCE systray To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/2170418/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
