** Description changed:

  BugLink: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169675

  [ Impact ]

There are Zen 6 platforms that don't support idle mask in scratch
register. In that case, amd_pmc/amd_pmc_idlemask under debugfs should
  not be populated.

  [ Fix ]

  Cherry-pick the following patch:

  - [PATCH 0/2] Drop scratch register for 0x1a/0x80[1]

- This has been picked up in maintainer's local branch, but hasn't
- propagate to platform-x86-drivers and linux-next.
+ They landed in the following commits in linux-next
+
+ 1. 4f368b44557c0adba84ee4e790f5a85f6e3043c1: platform/x86/amd: pmc: Only
create amd_pmc_idlemask if scratch defined
+ 2. 4234b341f1c2e24a38e490d8ac6067cd6ef7f1ca: platform/x86/amd: pmc: Drop
scratch_reg from amd_1ah_m80_cpu_info

  [ Test plan ]

Boot into the said platform, and look into /sys/kernel/debug/amd_pmc/.
  amd_pmc_idlemask should not show up.

[ Where problems could occur ]

This change should impact amd_1ah_m80_cpu_info platforms only, so
  existing platforms shouldn't get impacted.

If there are tools making assumption that amd_pmc/amd_pmc_idlemask
always exists, they needs to adjust accordingly to continue to work on
  Zen 6 platforms.
