Public bug reported:

Title:
ceph-mgr-diskprediction-local fails with AttributeError: 'SVC' object has no
attribute 'break_ties'

Environment:
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy)
- Charmed Ceph
- Ceph Reef 18.2.4
- ceph-mgr-diskprediction-local 18.2.4-0ubuntu1~cloud1
- python3-sklearn 0.23.2-5ubuntu6

Description:

After installing and enabling the diskprediction_local module, the
module fails and cannot provide disk life expectancy predictions.

Installation:

    apt install ceph-mgr-diskprediction-local
    ceph mgr module enable diskprediction_local

The module appears briefly as enabled, but prediction requests fail:

    ceph device predict-life-expectancy
ATA_SSDSC2KG019TZR_BTYJ406101C81P9CGN

Output:

Error EPERM: unable to invoke diskprediction local or remote plugin

Cluster log reports:

    MGR_MODULE_ERROR: Module 'diskprediction_local' has failed:
'SVC' object has no attribute 'break_ties'

Package versions:

    # dpkg -l | grep ceph-mgr-diskprediction-local
    ii ceph-mgr-diskprediction-local 18.2.4-0ubuntu1~cloud1

    # apt policy python3-sklearn
    Installed: 0.23.2-5ubuntu6

    # python3 -c "import sklearn; print(sklearn.__version__)"
    0.23.2

Verification performed:

    ceph device monitoring on
    ceph device ls
    ceph device get-health-metrics ATA_SSDSC2KG019TZR_BTYJ406101C81P9CGN

All above commands work correctly.

The devicehealth module successfully collects SMART data and wear
information. The problem is limited to the diskprediction_local module.

Current cluster status:

    ceph -s

    health: HEALTH_OK

    mon: 3 daemons in quorum
    mgr: 1 active, 2 standby
    osd: 96 up, 96 in
    pgs: 3673 active+clean

Expected result:

    ceph device predict-life-expectancy <device>

should return a life expectancy estimate.

Actual result:

Error EPERM: unable to invoke diskprediction local or remote plugin

and the module fails with:

AttributeError: 'SVC' object has no attribute 'break_ties'

Possible cause:

The diskprediction_local module appears to rely on an sklearn SVC
attribute named 'break_ties' that is not available in the version of
scikit-learn shipped with Ubuntu Jammy (0.23.2).

** Affects: ceph (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
